Whisperstar glanced at her warriors. She felt pride within her at each and every one. She watched Goldenpaw, padding alongside her deputy, Fallenleaf. The apprentice was going to be a great warrior, and soon. Whisperstar looked up at the sun, and felt it's warmth on her pelt. It was such a beautiful spring day. She felt as if nothing could go wrong.

Goldenpaw padded beside her fellow SoulClan cats. She felt so proud, going out on a patrol with the leader and the deputy. She ran beside them, happy and confident. Maybe they see how good a warrior I'll make... She grinned. This was great!

Whisperstar nodded, smiling. "Of course you can join!" She turned to her deputy. "Yes, let's go." She flicked her tail and led the patrol out of camp.

Whisperstar growled and felt the hollow grief inside her at the loss of her apprentice, Stormpaw. "Yes, but even so, we should just do a quick sweep by the border."

Spottedsun stayed behind, her eyes kept on her apprentice. The orange and black furred she-cat's eyes blazed, and the SoulClan warrior could tell that soon this'd be one happy apprentice. She trotted up close to her leader, and whispered in her ear, "You're thinking what I'm thinking, right?" She nodded her head to her apprenitce, smiling.
