She broke off with a hacking cough that left her gasping. Recovering, she took a few steps forward. "Get. Out. Of. Here," she growled through clenched teeth.

"I was just about to say the same thing." She leaped on top of the other cat, her claws digging into her flesh. The blood that fell out of her dripped to the ground making small pools on each side.

Whisperwind shook her head free of Tangletail's teeth, hissing through her teeth at the pain. She placed a paw on the evil cat's neck and hesitated. Here was her chance. She could take one of Tangletail's lives, and be that much closer to ridding the forest of a murderer. Could she do it? Was she strong enough? Did she hate enough?

Whisperwind gasped and dug her claws in harder. She hardened her heart and glared at Tangletail with scorching hatred. "You must be mistaken. Fang wouldn't come to meet you, he's in StarClan. And that's definitely not where you're going." Blinded by hatred for the she-cat, Whisperwind lashed out with her claws and scored Tangletail's throat. Blood welled up, bubbling.

Whisperwind watched Tangletail's eyes go dull, and then leaped off her. She was filled with disgust and loathing at herself. She had just killed a cat! Granted, a very evil cat who deserved it, but...she had never ended a life. Then she pictured Fang...and felt a little better. I avenged you, she thought to him silently.
