Whisperstar smiled. She had been waiting for a long time to perform this ceremony. She yowled the familiar summons, and when the Clan had gathered, she stood. "Flamekit, please step forward." Whisperstar paused. She couldn't get over how much the ginger kit reminded her of her namesake...was Flamestar watching over them right now? She shook it off. "I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this kit. She has chosen to follow the path of a warrior, and so today becomes an apprentice. Flamekit, from this day forth, until you have earned your warrior name, you will be known as Flamepaw."
Whisperstar locked eyes with Goldenshard and she smiled proudly. "Goldenshard, you have proven yourself to be an exceptional warrior. You will pass on all you know to this young apprentice."
Whisperstar then turned and called Windpaw forward. "You came to us, already an apprentice. A mentor must be assigned to complete your training. Spottedsun, you no longer have an apprentice now that Goldenshard is a warrior. I expect you to do as fine a job with Windpaw."
Whisperstar leaped down from the Highrock and started the traditional chant. "Flamepaw! Windpaw! Flamepaw! Windpaw!"

Spottedsun's eyes glimmered with pride that one of her daughters were finally going to be an apprentice. She caught her old apprentice, Goldenshard's, eyes and grinned at her. I know you'll do a wonderful job with Flamepaw, she passed on to the warrior.
Turning back to Whisperstar, hearing her name called, her mouth spread into a large grin. She'd heard good rumors of the apprentice, Windpaw, about how she'd fought off Whitepaw and Scarheart at the border with Dogfang, Goldenshard, Stormheart, Joypaw, Ashfur, and Sandheart. She would be happy to pass on everything to Windpaw.
She dipped her head to Whisperstar, mewing, "Yes, Whisperstar." She touched noses with Windpaw, smiling at the young apprentice.
"Flamepaw! Windpaw!" she called with Whisperstar. "Flamepaw! Windpaw!"

As Whisperstar spoke her name, Goldenshard took a deep breath, her eyes wide with joy. An apprentice? Already? This is amazing, an apprentice! And Flamek-Flamepaw too, what a great cat to have! Humming with excitement, Goldenshard looked back at Spottedsun, her old mentor, and saw that Spottedsun too was proud of her. Goldenshard gave her an enormous grin. I'll teach Flamepaw everything you taught me, Spottedsun. She turned back to her leader and nodded her head. "Of course, Whisperstar." She padded forwards to Flamepaw, grinning, and touched noses with the apprentice. "Flamepaw, Flamepaw, Flamepaw!"
Then as Whisperstar announced Spottedsun's name to mentor Windpaw, Goldenshard swore she could have exploded. This is fantastic! Spotty is a mentor again too, this'll be great, we can train together! Goldenshard smiled at her old mentor again, thrilled. This day couldn't get any better. "Windpaw, Windpaw, Windpaw!"

Joypaw grinned at the thought of her friends Goldenshard and Spottedsun having apprentices. Goldenshard truely deserved it- she'd worked hard as an apprentice and was one of the best warriors in the Clan. And Flamepaw seemed quite excited too, as she knew Goldenshard pretty well. Windpaw had received one of the best mentors ever! Joypaw smiled at the new mentors and apprentices, and called their names.
"Flamepaw! Windpaw! Flamepaw! Windpaw!"

FlamePAW - Crazy and go-luckyFlamepaw purred loudly as Whisperstar announced her new name and who her mentor was to me. Goldenshard! Of all cats too! What an hour! Her tail curled in delight and she purred so loudly, any cat would have thought she were a monster on the Thunderpath.
Quickly and trying to keep her head held high, she met up with Goldenshard ontop of the rock, she purred even louder. As Whisperstar added Windpaw and the apprentice touched noses with Spottedsun, Flamepaw couldn't contain her eagerness any longer. She bounded over to Windpaw and grinned, "This'll be great! I can't wait to start training with Goldenshard! We'll go hunting together soon, and shown the territory, and EVERYTHING!" Her words were flying out of her mouth and in a blur.
Any cat to have heard her and could decipher what she said, would have to have very good hearing. She was now jumping around Goldenshard and Windpaw, letting out small yelps and purrs of excitement.

As Flamepaw couldn't contain herself, Goldenshard lost it too. She burst out laughing as she watched her new apprentice bound around in excitement, eagerly anticipating training, hunting, everything. After a few moments she managed to quiet herself, and she padded over to Flamepaw in an attempt to calm her down. It seems Flamepaw and I are more alike then I knew! This is going to be great. She seems like a determined, hard working cat. She should be good to train.
"A little excited are we, Flamepaw?" Goldenshard grinned. "Don't worry, we're going to train and hunt as soon as your ceremony is over. Don't worry, you have your whole apprenticeship for all those things. And we can train with the other apprentices too," she said, looking to Spottedsun and grinning. "You're going to have a great time as an apprentice!"

Windpaw purrs loudly, her blue eyes shining with pride as she stands beside her new mentor.
"What can we do first? Can we train with Firepaw? " She quickly shuts her mouth, not wanting to be an annoyance to her mentor. She smiles.
"I'm glad your my mentor."

Bluekit smiled in glee as Flamepaw was made a loyal apprentance. Bluekit smiled and was so exited that in just a few weeks, Bluekit will be named, Bluepaw! The silver she-cat smiled and ran around in circles with exitement youling, "Flamepaw! Windpaw! Flamepaw! Windpaw!
Owlsong smiled at the little kit. Owlsong remembered her times in the nursery and how she and her littermates longed to be an apprentance. Owlsong chckled as Bluekit ran around in circles. What an optimistic kit. chuckled Owlsong with glee. Owlsong chanted the two apprentances names, "Flamepaw! Windpaw!"
