Whisperstar leaped on top of Highrock. She had made a few ceremonies from here while Flamestar was on the journey, but she had been Deputy then. Now... she smiled sadly, remembering her old friend. Now, she was leader, but Flamestar was gone. Not a very fair exchange. The Clan was already gathered from mourning Flamestar...there was no need to call them again. "I say these words before StarClan and the body of Flamestar, that they may hear and approve my choice." She paused and looked around, seeking the cat she wanted.
"Fallenleaf will be the new deputy of SoulClan."

Spottedsun looked up their new leader, her eyes glimmering with hope for her friend, but were shadowed by the loss of Flamestar. She watched Fallenleaf climb up the rock, her eyes strangely alert.

Joykit smiled at her leader's choice. She had joined the Clan shortly after Whisperstar became leader, and hadn't known Flamestar. But Spottedsun had told her about him and she knew he had been a brave, noble cat.
