Letting out a deep breath, the ginger leader spoke loudly, so the queens and kits in the nursery could also hear, as well as the medicine cats in their dens. "We are gathered here beneath the Gray Rock to acknowledge a new apprentice. By naming apprentices, we show that SoulClan will survive and remain strong."
She turned her dark green gaze to Skykit, " Skykit, from now on you will be known as Skypaw. I understand that you have decided to take the path of a medicine cat, and Sandheart has accepted the opportunity. You have proven yourself to the Clan as a trustworthy apprentice, and I believe you are also ready. I also have my beliefs that Sandheart will treat and train you well, so that you will grow into an apprentice the Clan will be very proud of."
Ears twitching, she turned to Sandheart. "Sandheart, you are ready for an apprentice, you will be Skypaw's mentor. Sandheart, you have known patience and acceptance and I expect you to pass on all your skills to Skypaw, so that she may be a loyal and great medicine cat of SoulClan in the seasons to come."
Purring, she added, "Congratulations Skypaw, you are now the medicine cat apprentice of SoulClan."
