Goldenshard padded through the dense trees. The sun was high, and the wind blew softly across her golden fur. Eyes bright, she broke through the trees into an open area, the hollow where cats could train their apprentices. Looking over her shoulder, she could see her apprentice, Flamepaw, padding right behind her, eyes eager.
Goldenshard sat down in the center of the hollow, wrapping her tail around her paws. She eyed Flamepaw, and could see how eager and excited the cat was. I was so excited for my first apprentice training...Spottedsun did a great job with me! Helped me become one of the best fighters in the Clan... She grinned. Hopefully Flamepaw will be a bit more balanced than me when it comes to hunting! I'm decent, but not great.
The golden cat smiled. "You ready to start your training, Flamepaw?"

((o.e Its early here, 6:53, bus comes at 7:00, gotta hurry and write this, modify it later lol.)) Flamepaw grinned, her gaze dropping to her paws for a second as if she were thinking, then she looked up, nodding. "As ready as I will ever be!" She mewed rather loudly.
Having it be her first day of training, just like any other apprentice in her Clan, she was anxious to prove to her Clan she had the qualities of a warrior, in fighting and hunting. But hunting apparently would come to her for another day, it was all about fighting today -- not real fighting of course, just the practice runs and through. She fidgeted a bit, wondering what was coming next.
She wanted to make sure her siblings, her mom, and all of her Clan would be proud of her. If she were a warrior, having learned everything by now, it would make her life so much easier. She could beat every DeathClan cat there ever was!
But, it would be quite a while until she got to that point, of course. She shrugged it off, looking at her mentor, Goldenshard, her face eager and eyes bright. This was sure to be fun!

(Can have a few posts operating under the assumption you aren't a warrior yet? Cuz I never got to train you!!!!  ) Goldenshard grinned at Flamepaw's eagerness. She had been just as eager when she had been an apprentice, wanting to prove herself to her friends and her Clan, to protect it against the DeathClan threat. Spottedsun trained me to become the warrior I am, and now I will train Flamepaw, her daughter. She smiled. Goldenshard stood and began pacing around her apprentice. "First of all, you must know the rules for warriors of SoulClan. We fight to protect our Clan and our Clanmates. If other cats, loners or otherwise, pose no threat to us and wish to live in peace with us, we accept that as long as they don't intrude in our territory. We fight with honor, and we obey StarClan and our Leader above all else. We fight, and will defeat, DeathClan. SoulClan must always be protected. Got that? You should know most of that by now." She smiled. |
