Turns her head when she hears that sound again. It appeared to be coming from above this fluffy lump. It was kind of like the one she had heard inside her mom's tummy. Shimmerkit purred and started to search for a place to suckle. ((lol))

"Shimmerkit," Spottedsun called, trying to pull the kit away from Whisperstar. "Shimmerkit, sweety, mommy's over here. Come on now, silly kit. Whisperstar wouldn't want to suckle you."

Whisperstar laughed and picked Shimmerkit up by the scruff, setting her back beside Spottedsun's belly. "Well, at least she knows I'm a close friend of yours!" She joked.

((HAHA. I have seen kittens before, they will search to suckle right then and there no matter where they are! xD))
Shimmerkit squirms, now apparently being held by 2 cats, and then wedges herself towards her mommy when she is set down.

*pads into the den and mouth drops open,bundles of herbs falling on the floor*Spottedsun I,I din't expect you to have kits until I got back!At least thats what sandheart told me.(Plz dont ask wer sand is cuz idk!!!)*inhaled the somewhat faint milky scent*And luckly I brought back some borage,here*nudges the sour smelling herb towards spottedsun,trying to hide her amusment by the the queens twisted up face*Don't worry.Sandheat said that itll pay off!

Spottedsun laughed with Whisperstar, nodding. She smiled down at Shimmerkit, but looked up when another cat walked in. "Hello, Starpaw! Thank you so much!" She leaned her head down to eat up the herbs.

Joypaw started giggling at Shimmerkit's curiousity. Turning to Whisperstar, she said, "Sure, I'll get the mice." She gazed at the three kits for a moment before exiting to find the prey, soon coming back with the mice in her mouth. She dropped it in the fresh-kill pile, picked up Whisperstar's squirrel, and padded back into the nursery. She dropped the squirrel near Spottedsun. "Here you go!" she said cheerfully. Joypaw gazed admiringly at the fine, healthy kits.

"Oh my," Spottedsun stated, eyeing the piece of prey. "Thank you, Joypaw! It's just what I needed." She smiled, nodded her head to the apprentice, and then leaned to down to eat it up, too. It was delicious, and soothed the tangy taste of the herb.

"No problem." Joypaw smiled back at light grey queen. She went over the kits's names: Tanglekit, Flamekit, Shimmerkit. Hm, Shimmerkit's pelt does seem to shiver in the sunlight and moonlight, Flamekit did look like the previous leader, as did Tanglekit. I wonder of those two will take their namesake's personality she thought, eyeing Flamekit and Tanglekit.

(I'm pretty sure Borage was used to get more milk for the queen. All the queens like Sorreltail and Ferncloud used it to get more milk.)

(yeah, borage is right. yarrow to make sick, burdock root for rat bite, marigold to stop infection, i think, catmint for whitecough and greencough...)
