FLAMESHADOW Through the wind and the rain She stands hard as a stone In a world that she can't rise above But her dreams give her wings And she flies to a place where she's loved Concrete angel Flameshadow padded through the green ferns of the DeathClan and SoulClan border, her ginger fur stuck out from the floorish of grass, but she did not pay attention to that.
Her sea-foam gaze was trapped onto the burrow of a mouse. Just a few moments ago, she had been simply walking along, not even trying to hunt, when a mouse had flashed right beside her. Flameshadow had mentally hit herself for not paying attention, she had been too busy enjoying being a warrior, and just wanted to get out before the other warriors in her Clan, happy that she now was able to just walk out of camp without having required a warrior to be with her.
The mouse had disappeared right before she had a time to react. Snapping her teeth, she growled. I could have easily had that mouse! I have to get my act together, if not, then I'll be of no use to the Clan...
The thought of that got her easy suddenly as she glared at the mouse's den. She had told Tanglepaw before she left, that she would come back with some prey, and she intended to keep that promise, whether this mouse wanted to be caught or not. Shaking her head, the dark ginger maine coon warrior padded towards the small hole in the ground, sniffing outside of it for a moment before sneezing. The damn mouse was gone! " Aw come on!" she snarled, anger growing in her belly. She was more angry at herself than the mouse - for missing the prey. " Great...and I am getting hungry...better catch something soon.."Flameshadow sniffed the air again, letting out a deep breath as the scent of a rabbit hit her nose. Wait a moment. Rabbits rarely came into SoulClan territory, they were mostly in DeathClan territory, by the border. Flameshadow silently cursed under her breath. She was in DeathClan territory! Fox dung! Fox dung! Fox dung! She had been too caught up in catching the mouse, that she had not noticed she had crossed the border. She was rather deep into DeathClan territory. If she was caught, she would probably be killed before anyone even noticed she was gone out of camp[/blockquote][/blockquote] --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Word Count?: 272 Notes?: Umm...well...XD I was bored, need to get to posting again xDD Muse Level?: Pretty good, I suppose Thread Status?: Any cat

It was typical for Whitefire to be out in the forest, SoulClan or DeathClan territory, either exploring, hunting, or just causing trouble. In this particular case, she was exploring and hunting. She'd been chasing mice and slinking through abandoned fox dens all day. It was rather run. So far, she'd caught two mice, and one small raven who'd been stupid enough to dawdle on the ground hopping from foot to foot. It had been an easy kill, seeing as the black bird didn't notice her what-so-ever.
She was deep into the DeathClan forest by now, padding along side the trees that stood tall and healthy. As Whitefire continued on, it suddenly grew silent as the prey noticed the cat but as soon as she was out of range, it would liven up again. Funny, how they were scared of her and every time they saw a cat - particularity DeathClan, everything would be silenced in a flash. It made her and every other DeathClan cat feel even more powerful and awesome then they already were. (And they all thought they were the best of the best, and in fact, it was true.)
She was very close to the scent of rabbit now. It was blowing towards her, but it clashed with another. A very familiar one. A very annoying one. Flameshadow, of SoulClan. Scowling, she padded close behind and in a low voice, growled: "Having fun out here?" She asked. Whitefire had seen this cat many times, and she reminded her very much of the ex leader, Flamestar. They shared names for The Dark Forest's sake! _______________________ Word Count: 276 Notes: Got bored. Muse: It's getting better I guess. Thread Status -- Open.

FLAMESHADOW Through the wind and the rain She stands hard as a stone In a world that she can't rise above But her dreams give her wings And she flies to a place where she's loved Concrete angel
Flameshadow's sea-foam eyes widened when a voice she knew all too well voiced behind her. She turned, only to see Whitefire. "I was just leaving actually." she meowed calmly. Her fur was laied by, threatening to rise up. Trying to keep her cool, she spoke again, making sure her voice was even and trying not to give any reason for the she-cat to attack, "I was just chasing a mouse, and I got distracted, and I did not notice I was so deep into DeathClan territory. There is no need for an attack."
Breathing deeply, she closed her eyes then opened them quickly, in case Whitefire snuck an attack. You can never trust a DeathClan warrior, they were heartless bastards with no life, living off of nothing but others pain. Flameshadow was momentarily confused, why could they just leave the forest and leave everyone alone. She shook her head, still calm and her voice still even, "Am I allowed to pass through, or will I have to fight my way through?
She knew Whitefire would choose the latter. Whitefire was just that type of she-cat -- if there ever were 'that kind'. She was one of the most fierce cats in the forest, taking no crap from anyone. If Flameshadow was to get out of DeathClan territory, she would have to fight her way through most likely -- and when its said 'fight her way through', it was also simply implied that she would rather come out alive.

The song of joy slowly gets softer and softer, While death continues to strike the chilled, saddened forest, While blood splashes the ground and cries of pain ring the air, The cats can only hope, pray, and fight for all that is best. ~Joysong [/sup] No cat could question Joysong's presence in the forest as she padded along distractedly, halfheartedly batting at a golden leaf falling the to ground. Leaf-fall was coming slowly, with the greenleaf heat was still lingering, touching her fur gently, wafting in the air. At the moment, the ginger warrior was treasuring every little breeze that ever so slightly made the tree's branches dance. Joysong had no particular reason for strolling here as she was now; she'd already caught enough prey to have a satisfied gleam in her eyes when she'd entered the camp earlier, adding the mouth-watering freshly killed prey to the still nicely stocked pile. Not long, however, leaf-bare would strike, herbs would die, and Joysong's light pelt would grow thicker against the cold. She hoped fervently that the battles would slowly get more fierce, maybe decrease in frequency all together. She doubted very much that the Clans would help one another- she nearly snorted out loud at the so-far-beyond-reality idea- but maybe they could tone it down on the fighting and focus on finding food. It was a slim hope, but at the rate things were going, the young warrior was ready to cling on any straw. She still bore the wounds of a previous, awful fight at the border over Raine, a loner. Joysong had put her life in a threatening stance over a loner. A loner she'd never talked to. One she never knew. The thought made her wrinkle her nose, hoping desperately it hadn't been for nothing, and maybe they could have some allies outside the Clans. Maybe Raine had some friends around, relatives, kin, denmates. Something that could ensure hope. Hope. That was a good word, a word that brought... well, good feelings. Feelings and emotions that whispered that the world would not end. These thoughts ringing inside her were so deep she didn't even catch Flameshadow's scent, fresh and recent. After a heartbeat she did, and it led into DeathClan territory. Uh-oh. Her half sister wasn't stupid; she'd obviously wandered there on accident. But what if she ran into Whitefire or worse, even Shattergaze? Ice cold shivers suddenly traveled strongly through her spine, freezing her slim body in rigidness and blocking the brightness of the bold sun striking the sky above her. Debate surged her mind. Would she go, or not? She stared at the scent markers, took a deep breath, praying briefly that this was the right choice, and walked unevenly across it, leaving the friendly homeliness of SoulClan behind. Joysong entered a dark land, a land where the first part of her name did not exist. Her pace became brisk as she tried tracking Flameshadow with success, wanting to to get it over with. She'd entered DeathClan territory once before, and had never returned. This time, Joysong's spirit would stay with her. She would go on. Confidence struck her, and her shoulders thrusted back with determination. Taking another breath, she continued on. Be okay, Flameshadow. Please don't get in a fight, my sister. ----- ~Word Count| 523 ~Muse Level| Nice, my Joy muse is pretty good for now. ~Notes| This thread ought to be interesting... ~Thread Status| Open
