(OOC: Hey, I am new here so please be nice)
Blackrose watched the kits playing near the nursery. Their antics never failed to amuse her, and their innocence reminded her of herself when she was their age. Which wasn't that long ago, she reminded herself. After all, her warrior ceremony was only a moon or two ago, so she couldn't call herself a real warrior yet. She still needed to show her clan what she could do. The only problem she really had was making friends, for her mood swings scared away many, so Blackrose was very lonely. She scanned the camp, searching for anyone who might be a contender. Kits could only keep you happy for so long, and the novelty of their games were due to wear off any second now.

Flamekit sat outside of the SoulClan nursery. She was playing with her sisters, Shimmerkit and Tanglekit. Flamekit growled playfully and pounced on Shimmerkit, biting at her sister's ears then bounding off without another growl. She turned around playfully and giggled, but just then noticed Blackrose, sitting off on the side, by herself and looking around.
The ginger kit glanced at Blackrose, then at Shimmerkit. She could go meet Blackrose now, considering she had never really talked to her before - it wasn't as if she didn't have the confidence. Oh, that was not the problem. She was just unsure, that was all. Confidence was never a problem with the small ginger replica of the ancient leader, Flamestar. From what she had been told, Flamestar was one the shoot first, then ask questions later, as Flamekit was like. She hesitated then shrugged. She didn't have much to loose, so it didn't really matter.
Without even a side-long glance at Shimmerkit again, she padded over to the newly-named warrior and sat beside her, gazing up at Blackrose, with big, green eyes. "Hi!" she meowed, though it came out as a small squeak. She grinned at the warrior, delight shining in those huge-kit like eyes of hers, "Whatcha doing?" she asked, not bothering to stretch out her words like she usually did when she was 'buggin the warriors'. She more or less - more or likely - thought of it as fair play that the warriors just didn't like - or enjoy at all, apparently from the hisses and growls she got daily.
She glanced back towards the nursery where her mother, Spottedsun, was still in, asleep. Thank StarClan no one was watching. Flamekit blinked again one time time in the heat of the sun. Her pelt suddenly felt heavy and she stood up, shaking her ginger pelt. A small cloud of red and black dirt rose from her pelt, from her tough-rough housing she had been doing a lot with her siblings and the other kits in the nursery - which weren't a lot. Flamekit sighed. It actually got rather boring sometimes, and she wanted to get out of camp more, if it was possible but most warriors just saw her either as a 'cute, delicate, fluff ball' or as just an 'annoying fluff ball'. As for the cute part, she was far from cute. Unlike her other siblings, Flamekit's fur had begun to get a bit of a muscular look to it, as if she had been fighting her whole life - everyone thought it came from her father's genes. Speaking of her father, no one even knew who her father was. Spottedsun seemed reluctant to tell anyone and especially seemed to want her kits to grow up in a nice environment. Most thought that was where the ginger fur came in and that was why Flamekit didn't have anything in common with her mother. Everything apparently led to her father. Flamekit let out another sigh, her breathe hitting the hot air and immediately stopping and dissolving into thin air. She was beyond bored now. At this point, all she wanted to do was just lie around. She just then remembered Blackrose,
"Oh sorry!" she mewed quietly, "Haha...I zoned out." She grinned apologetically at the newest warrior of the Clan, using her cute kit-voice and her big, cute, green eyes. Stories had been told about the times when Blackrose and her sister used to sneak out of camp - Flamekit even saw her as a sort of inspiration to sneaking out. Kind of like a legend, like the one time Blackrose and her sister had snuck out of camp and went to the DeathClan border. They had come back the next morning but weren't questioned. No one knew where they went, except Flamekit. She had followed them, only to find them at the border and not even doing anything.
Oh I hope she wants to play with me! Flamekit thought with a desperate bat at the ground, sending up even more dirt, "So, you wanna play?" she asked suddenly, the thought just spring from the back of her mind, "I'm bored of playing with Tanglekit and Shimmerkit." She meowed, pointing her small, white-tipped tail to her two sisters who were just sitting outside the SoulClan nursery, looking just almost as bored as Flamekit did too. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Word Count?: 730!!! Blackrose started. The young kit was an absolute pest at times, especially when she followed Thistlepelt and Blackrose to the border. She thought they hadn't noticed her, and it was true that Thistlepelt was completely oblivious, but Blackrose wasn't so easily fooled, however, she had never drawn attention to this fact. Actually, Flamekit was kind of adorable in a very irritating way. Her pelt was so much like fire, the sun setting off all of the colours, making Blackrose feel rather dull with her tortoiseshell pelt.
ha ha.... I zoned out Blackrose smiled at the kit. She remembered saying she had zoned out when in fact she had been trying to figure things out, and now she was curious as to what had made Flamekit "zone". But the she-kit was sweet and Blackrose didn't want to upset her by asking.
"Hey Flamekit, sure I'll play. Thistlepelt is off hunting now, and I am not in the mood for being beaten by her. Again. But be nice to your sisters, surely they should get to play too. Why don't we invite them to join in? They may be boring at times, but for all you know, they think you are boring and mean when you leave them out." Realising she was starting to sound like Spottedsun, Blackrose ended rather lamely with, "Did you have a game in mind?"
Rising to her paws, she stretched, allowing her long tail to brush Flamekit's side playfully. "Come on then Flamekit," She breathed, her voice getting even quieter as Thistlepelt strolled by. With a brief explanation as to why she wasn't going hunting, Thistlepelt was gone and Blackrose was free to play with Flamekit and her kin.

The dark ginger she-cat have a little squeal of excitement.
She stopped dead when Blackrose said, They may be boring at times, but for all you know, they think you are boring and mean when you leave them out..
For a moment, Flamekit glared at Blackrose, as if the warrior had suggested the kit go off and kill a DeathClan warrior. Just like the rest of the Clan, she wanted Flamekit to go off and do everything with her family. How come she just couldn't have a bit of fun on her own? Was that too much to ask of her Clan? She let out a small sigh, the breathe hitting the air again. "Okay, okay." She mumbled, sulking away and padded back over to the nursery entrance. She glared at Shimmerkit and Tanglekit, though they didn't seem to notice their sister's jealous glare.
Being the oldest of the litter was hard. Everyone was always expecting you to set good examples, include your family in everything, but the strongest and the one to always support everyone - and it didn't help that she was named after Flamestar. Oh it was an honor, all right! One Flamekit planned to bear very well and till the death, she would. But still hard. Everyone always seemed to expect her to be just as great as Flamestar was, bring the forest back to glory as Flamestar had gone numerous times, take down DeathClan like Flamestar had almost done many times. How could they all expect so much from one small, ginger kit who just wanted to have some fun on her own sometimes? It was a burden, yet a great gift. She wanted to make her Clan proud, oh, how she did! So very badly! She wanted her name to go down as a legend, as her namesake's had done. But how could she do all this if she had to trudge along her family everywhere she went, look after them all the time, and not be able to do anything heroic, something brave to make her Clan believe in her! Yea, she totally noticed sometimes how cats glared at her, maybe it was because of her father. Yes, that was it. Her father. Spottedsun. No one knew who has father was, for all they knew, it could be Darkstar of DeathClan; Though that assumption was nearly impossible considering Darkstar had not even be leader in time for Spottedsun to announce she was having kits, but it was an idea, was it not? Yes it was, a very good idea, in a matter of fact, if anyone even thought about the technical ways of life. It could be possible. And so could the possibility of her father being, say from ThunderClan. Or a rouge. No one knew but Spottedsun. Flamekit blinked. She had zoned out again. How had she come from thinking of how her family was a burden, to talking about who her father was?
Oh, yes, she remembered how. It had been very quick and sudden, but one thing always links to another, how kninky. She laughed to herself then turned back to her siblings who had said nothing, or hadn't even seemed to notice their older sister was standing basically right behind them. Flamekit considered leaping on them from behind, but that could surprise them and get them to yowl out loud and then have the whole Clan after her, just because she woke them up.
It was still pretty early, actually. The Clan was just now getting active, cats waking from their dens but it was still also early - as in some of the Clan still sleeping and cats being very cranky if a kit woke them up yowling just because someone had pounced on them by surprise. But it would kind of be her sisters' fault too, matter a fact. They should be able to suspect it. Isn't that the old saying? Expect the unexpected? She blinked, thinking it over then deciding against it. How had she come from an angel to this? She didn't even know herself. But if her Clan didn't notice, did it really happen?
"Hey guys." She spoke outright now, her voice soft and sweet as it usually did when talking to other cats - even her own family didn't know of how evil little Flamekit could really be if she tried or wanted to. She grinned at them, using her devilish smile. She shuffled her one white paw over her ginger one, brushing the dirt off them. "Blackrose and I wanna know if ya wanna play with us." She meowed.------------------------------------------------------------------------ Word Count?: 774 XDD Muse Level?: 0.0 Man my muse level is fawking hai. Notes?: Doods. Blackrose noticed Flamekit's glare when she mentioned her siblings. She guessed it must be hard being the eldest and having to prove yourself all the time, but she had never had that problem as Thistlepelt was eldest. As the kit spoke to her sisters, Blackrose felt her eyes roaming, until they settled on the medicine cat den.
She had only been there once because of the whole rose thorn thing, and the place had given her nightmares. Not because of the medicine cat, she was very nice and had been good to her. No, it was the smell of the herbs. They had started giving her nightmares because they reminded her of her parents having greencough when she was a kit. Thistlepelt had been so strong, kept her going even then. Now Blackrose was beginning to wonder if that was why Thistlepelt was so.... coarse. She rarely showed emotion anymore, and she didn't even believe love existed. It broke her heart to see her big sister so unmoved, and she missed the passionate, sparky she-cat who had taught so many games, like log-boarding. Hey!
Her eyes lit up as she remembered the game. You took a large branch or flat stone, balanced it on top of some logs at the top of a hill and then rolled down the hill as fast you could while trying not to fall off. It had been her favourite game, but she had never seen Flamekit try it, despite the kit being so outgoing. This led her to the conclusion that she didn't know what it was. So it was up to Blackrose to show her how!
Scanning the clan once more, she determined that there was no one to stop her sneaking Flamekit out of camp, and her sisters if they were up to it. Running over to them, she gave Spottedsun a dazzling smile and then beckoned Flamekit back to where they had been speaking moments before. "Are your sisters going to come?" She asked, eyes shining. She hadn't felt this animated in a VERY long time.

Flamekit noticed Blackrose leaving the camp and she tilted her small head to the side for a second. Didn't a moment ago, Blackrose ask her siblings she wanted them to play and yet here she was now, running off to who knew where. She blinked at the residing back of the warrior as Blackrose disappeared into the bushes. Sometimes, she didn't understand warriors. One moment, they were so nice and caring the next, they seemed really mad or something and walking off.
She just then heard Blackrose add, "Are your sisters going to come?".
Wait a moment. That meant Blackrose wanted her to follow her! Flamekit grinned, secret code, eh? Well not really, considering anyone who listened would know the warrior wanted the three kits to follow, but that's not what Flamekit thought! She let out a small, kittish purr and ran after Blackrose, her paws sending up dirt into huge clouds as they scattered against the fallen leaves' bitten ground. The hot air from the sun hit the ginger kit like a rush. The camp had seemed so cool compared to out here! Now she knew why the warriors complained about it! Flamekit growled and let in a deep breathe, determined to follow after Blackrose.
She didn't really care if her siblings were following or not, if Blackrose was with them, surly they couldn't get in trouble - unless Spottedsun woke to find her kits gone, then there would more than likely be trouble. But eh. Who really cared? Queens were so touchy of their kits and were always trying to protect them, half of the time OVER-protecting. She just kind of hoped her mother didn't wake up. Now Flamekit's pelt felt heavier than ever; It was sure now. The heat was taking its tole. Hopfully if she fell over from the heat or something, Blackrose would notice and help her or something. She didn't really care. As long as she proved herself, she would keep going till she fainted, if that's what it took.
After jumping over logs and such for a couple more minutes, she finally caught up to Blackrose, "I...am...here!" She panted, her tongue lolling out of her mouth like a dog's. She was panting heavily now and it almost looked as if beads of sweat clouded her forehead.

Blackrose skidded to a neat halt just inches from a rather steep hill. Looking back, she wasn't suprised to see that Flamekit's sisters weren't following. Seeing the young kit gasping, however, made her remember that Flamekit wasn't used to the heat or the pace, that she was going at. "Oops," she grinned sheepishly. "Sorry Flamekit. But you did well keeping up! Most kits would have collapsed about twelve fox-lengths back. I did when I first left camp. Oh, and for StarClan's sake, do no tell your mother I took you out of camp, she'll eat my guts!" She paused for breath, and then stood back. "De duh!" She said, indicating the hill behind her. In answer to the kits questioning look, she explained log-boarding to her. Then she began digging around in some nearby bushes, avoiding the rose one, and pulled out a large flat stone. "Log-boarding is a game me and Thistlepelt played all the time. It was our biggest kept secret, and now it is yours. Now you know the rules, you just need to practise. But to stop, remember, is impossible unless you crash into something, so be prepared to jump and run for your life if anything happens, got it? I heard some dogs earlier too, so be on the look out for everything. Ready to try it?"

Flamekit blinked at Blackrose. There was one reasonable explaination of this. The newly named warrior had gone mad.
"But to stop, remember, is impossible unless you crash into something, so be prepared to jump and run for your life fi anything happens, got it?"
That was like asking Flamekit to go to the tip of a cliff and see if the kit fell off! Oh and she just added, "I heard some dogs earlier too, so be on the look out for everything. Ready to try it?"
She just said it so calmly! She could die! Damn. Blackrose had finally lost it! Either way, Flamekit wanted to prove her loyalty and her skills in listening. Without even thinking, the kit nodded. fuck. What the hell was she thinking? The only thing she could come up with was this: Being around Blackrose had caused her sanity to officially go through the roof and out of camp, never to come back more than likely. ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Blackrose couldn't quite believe what she was doing. What the other cats had been saying for moons was right, Thistlepelt was a bad influence. The old Blackrose would never in a million moons have suggested this. New resolution: Stay away from Thistlepelt, and spend more time with kits.
"Okay, are you ready?" Without waiting for an answer, Blackrose dropped Flamekit onto the stone, which she had balanced on two logs. She hesitated, but decided it was too late to back out now. "Remember, be prepared to run. I won't let anything happen to you, but to do that, you have to help me," she whispered, and considering the fact that her normal voice was a whisper, you can imagine how quiet she was when giving this advice. Taking a deep breath, she pushed the kit down the hill, and immediately ran after her. StarClan, keep her safe she begged silently as the kit disappeared from her view.

Flamekit nodded towards Blackrose, closing her eyes. When the warrior pushed her down, Flamekit didn't dare open her eyes until she was already more than half way down.
The wind whipped cruelly at her fur, nipping at it and showing no mercy, it felt as if daggers were shedding through her skin.
Flamekit let out a squeal of terror. Her hind foot slipped and she slid down the hill, the log barely under her as she flew through the air.. Her body fell over the edge her front paws just managing to grip onto the edge as she hung there. She was going to die. StarClan, she was going to die. Why had she even agreed to do this? That was stupid. She was just about to die! A small piece of the log had fallen from her mouth when she had slipped, and so was now sliding down the hill. She watched in horror as it too fell. Her head shot out and she managed to catch the piece in her mouth. At least this way she couldn't say anymore stupid things or agree to anything else that could make her risk her life!
She shouldn't have listened. If she had, she wouldn't so close to death. She closed her eyes. Her Clan didn't need her anyways. They had better kits - less selfish kits. What made this situation so much better was that she was going to fall from this damn fire escape and go splat. Fun(!).

Blackrose groaned. She should never have agreed to this. If it wasn't for her, Flamekit would be safe with her sisters in the nursery. Stupid Rose, stupid she thought as she raced down the hill. "Flamekit! Flamekit jump now or else you'll get squished! Please Flame, do it now!" She yowled, her voice louder than it had ever been in her entire life. And then she saw something that made her blood become ice. Dogs. Three of them at the base of the hill, snapping and howling. And heading straight for Flamekit, as the she-kit lost control of the log, if she had ever had it in the first place. "FLAMEKIT!!!!"

More fresh waves of terro overflowed the small kit as she fell over the log and went flying through the cold, heartless, frigid air. Down close to the ground, it had appeared hot, but now she was high and she realized the wind had been blowing the whole time. For a moment - a small second - she was silent, then suddenly she was falling, falling, falling, falling! Flamekit yowled loudly, closing her eyes and screaming as loud as her small lungs would allow.
"Hellpppppppp!" she screamed, over and over. Next minute she knew, she was lying belly-up in the air, a huge dog standing over her, its jaws ready to snap and saliva dripping from its jowls.
"Blackrose!" Flamekit screeched, trying her best to swipe her small, kit claws at the dog. It seemed to be smirking as it grabbed her by her ginger scruff and shook her about.

Blackrose scrambled over to the dogs. "Oi!" She yelled, demonstrating that amazingly scary voice of hers that only appeared when she was mad. "Leave her alone!" Two dogs fled, but there was one left and it stood over Flamekit, saliver sliding down its jaw. Before she could react, its mouth had closed around her left leg. It swung the kit, and her shrieks echoed around the clearing. Starclan, Spottedsun is gonna kill me, she thought. And she had promised Flamekit that she would keep her safe no matter what. Flinging herself at the creature, she began hissing and spitting for all that she was worth. "Let her go you flea-bitten, mouse-brained piece of fox dung!" Seconds passed before Flamekit dropped to the floor. "Flamekit? Sweetie are you hurt?" She asked, the dog no where in sight.

Flamekit - Small But Mighty Shakingly, Flamekit got to her paws and shook her left leg about, blinking her green orbs at Blackrose. Her leg paw was rather ragged and shrewn and a bit of bleeding, but Flamekit was sure she would survive. Hopefully. She was so dead. Spottedsun was going to kill them both. Blackrose for taking her out and nearly getting her killed, and Flamekit for going with her and going along with the idea of Log-Boarding.
Flamekit sighed and slumped back to the ground, her little head throbbing and her ears pinned back. She was so dead. And tired. She was suddenly very tired and wanted to just sleep. Is this what death felt like? You just knew for sure it was your time? A small yawn escaped her jaws and she lay her head onto the ground, closing her eyes and her ears only twitching faintly.
As soon as they got back to camp, when they did, she would go see Sandheart or Starpaw, she was sure they would fix her up. Flamekit lay on the ground, breathing only faintly but she felt as if she were flying. She could only see a part of Blackrose from the postion in which she was lying on the ground, all she could see was the she-cat's face, but other than that, she could see no other.
The small kit absent-mindedly said to herself, "dogs. cats. battle. Sandheart...Spottedsun.." before drifting off into a world of her own. Blackrose groaned. She was so dead. Gently lifting the kit, she made her way back to camp. It was time to face the anger and wrath of Spottedsun. "You did brilliantly Flamekit. I am proud of you, and so sorry," she whispered. With a small sigh, she relaxed as they approached camp and saw Thistlepelt speaking with Spottedsun. The queen didn't seem to have noticed the kit was missing, which was a relief in itself, but since her sister was talking to her, the queen must be in a good mood. For now. "We're back sweetie, time to wake-up. Lets go see Sandheart, yeah?"
