This is unfinished, I'll continue to edit it as I keep writing. XD I made it to sort of throw you guys in it, like the two monkeys named Cream and Silent... yeah. It's kinda WEIRD in parts. xDDD
Vendetta strapped herself into the first-class seat, her eyes shining. She was on a plane, alone, at seventeen years of age. Of course she'd be excited. They were going to soar over the Amazon River, and it was going to be more awesome than a motorcycle ride. She'd see lush green forests, the beautiful glowing blue of the fast-flowing Amazon, wild creatures watching the sun go by, and even natural growing fruit. Vendetta hoped there would be lemons, her favorite food ever. She loved its tangy sourness lifting her spirits. Her mother would always say, her eyes narrowed annoyingly, "Honestly, Ven, you need to tone it down on the lemons. I'd like your hair to stay black instead of yellow, please." Vendetta would always respond, her voice cross with the idea of eating less lemons, "Mother, lemons is the only thing I live for." Of course, she'd only be joking, and the matter would disappear like mist in sunshine as the two females would begin to laugh. Now, as she glanced around the airplane and stared out the window at the landing and take-off area, she wished this thing would hurry up and work some magic. She wanted to go. And she wanted to go now. She cherished the idea of looking out a fluffy clouds, chomping on a peeled lemon. Finally, a recorded-manner voice sounded over the loudspeaker. "Flight 92, the Heart of the Storm, will take off in less than five minutes." Vendetta nearly leaped out of her seat in her now-gone impatience. She had a problem with not wanting to wait. Her problem was too severe. Before she knew it, her stomach twisted as Heart of the Storm lifted gracefully of the ground, and she grinned as the attendent brought her a peeled lemon as she'd requested earlier. Now her daydream of clouds and fruit was coming true. Leaning her head on the seat, she saw a cloud that looked strangely like a sun. As she watched, a smaller cloud drifted in front of it, and now it looked like a sun with a spot. In the next instant, they were gone, shattered in her gaze by the wind running on air. Growing tired of clouds, her lemon long gone, she stared at a painting with a shard of a vase. The shard was a beautiful golden, shining with all the glory gold deserves. She was so lost in the golden that for a moment she didn't notice a terrible knot in her stomach. In another heartbeat she did notice it, the knot you get when a plane is desending. Confused, she was about to ask a nearby person that the heck was going on, they weren't near an airport, but the plane was hitting down fast. And before one word could come out her big mouth, Heart of the Storm's windows began to offer views of tropical trees, but no one was interested in that. Screams and yowls pierced the air, and before Vendetta could screech at everyone to be quiet and listen to what the pilot, named Mary, was saying, HOTS crashed, killing passengers, crew, and pilot. All except...
Vendetta. The black-and-red-haired girl stepped out, looking timid for the first time in her life. She stepped over lying bodies, at one point nearly tripping over a dettached arm and screaming at that sight. Her loud, piercing voice attracted the attention of some animals lounging. One monkey named Cream came up to her and made sounds. Vendetta replied, irritated, "Oh, leave me alone already, you crazy old monkey." She nearly fainted with shock when she heard Cream say, in English, "Girl is lost and hungry. Cream and Silent feed girl." As in response, another monkey, Silent, strode up, eating a banana and tossing the peel so it landed somewhere Vendetta could not see. A toucan named Joy flew over, the peel on her head, and in her curved, sharp claws bore a lemon. Joy dropped the lemon on Cream's head, and flew in circles around a puddle while Silent chased her. The seventeen-year-old relaxed and began to smile.
Sudddenly, a lion appeared out of nowhere and roared. Vendetta, for some reason, felt the roar said, "Be quiet, for the queen has come to make an announcement!" Animals everywhere hushed quickly, and Cream calmed some of her confusion. "Queen have name of Sand," she whispered as she bowed her head. Vendetta copied the posture, more out of confusion than respect. What did Sand have to say? "Spot and Lone are now the parents of Flame, Shimmer, and Tangle. We will perform the ceremony of joy. Joy? Come over here and do your feather ceremony as the three children emerge for all to see," Sand roared, and the toucan flew foward, hovering gracefully, her beautiful muscles tensed in what seemed to Vendetta as readiness. What would happen?
Vendetta's mouth dropped in shock when she saw what lay in wait for the three newborns. Flame, Shimmer, and Tangle, she discovered soon, were actually alligators, teeny ones to get specific. They were lying on a rather large leaf, which the near-adult recognized as a banana leaf, and they stared in astonishment as they were propelled through the river, while Joy flew over them, shedding her gorgeous feathers for the sake of celebrating the alligators' birth. All the animals began to do something that made the word "sing" pop in her mind, and it also seemed to carry the tune of the old song Amazing Grace. Vendetta joined in, throwing out her well-known, marvelous voice, and she watched as Spot and Lone, the lucky parents, swam behind their children, and as Vendetta zoomed in on Spot's beady eyes, they held anything but viciousness. Her eyes shone with pride at her offspring, and was reflected in Lone's. Vendetta had never seen anything in her life that ever carried as much happiness as this, not in all the parties she'd attended back home. ^Back home... Where am I now? Will I ever go back?^ She was terribly homesick, and no matter what she felt here, she wanted to go home. And she wanted to go now, and, even if she'd swallow spiders before admitting it, the ~ssssssssssssssssssssss~ of the snakes gave her the creeps if she wasn't used to it. Realizing she'd zoned, she turned her attention back to the animals, wondering how the ceremony would end. The question did not remain in her mind long, for the ending approached, and the creatures erupted into alien alleluias. Joy stopped dropping her feathers, and fluttered to a tree, chirping her song with the other birds. The beautiful alleluias were even whispered in the wind, as the breeze began to run through the forest, flowers did the wave, the golden leaves suddenly began gently, slowly traveling the wind, and the wind picked up so much, leaves on the ground began to spin in a joyous tornado formation. Flame and Co. loved it, squeaking with glee as they realized it was all for them. Tangle, on the other hand, looked a bit irritated when a gorilla nearly toppled over to the river, while Shimmer seemed a bit frightened at the near accident, and Flame remained calm, an authoritive air about her. It seemed to tell every creature there that someone new had been born and was going to take high rank and make this forest better, and that someone was her. Vendetta grinned and added her own song, giving the place a sound they'd never heard before. Finally, the three newest animals finished their journey, and their parents escorted them to a den to sleep. Everyone slunk back into gathering shadows, and the crickets kept sound alive. Cream and Silent waved their tails at Vendetta, calling her to them. She shrugged and followed. ^Everyone here is so kind,^ she thought when she saw the twined branches and thick, clean moss that lay in wait for her. ^Nowhere near half the people back home^. Again, back home. But if there was one place she was going to stay, it was here. Curling up into the moss, she was almost in the refuge of sleep when a tiny rabbit hopped outside the den, and Vendetta sat up again. Something was wrong in the rabbit's travel. What was up? Concerned, she stretched herself wide awake and crawled outside into warm night air with a full moon shining in shafts through the darkening trees. Vendetta recognized where the rabbit was going. It was headed for a gnarled, twisted, old, tall tree where many monkeys made their homes. This was one of the many trees she was able to climb, but she was tall for her age, and this rabbit looked like it had no hope of making it to its desitination. The creature looked up, and the human girl followed its dismayed gaze to Cream's branch, and understood. This was her job. She practically ran in Hermes' winged slippers when coming to the rabbit's aid, scooped it up, and told it to hush up if it wanted to walk properly, and began hauling herself up the trees, careful not to wake monkeys drifted off to slumber. ^What am I doing,^ Vandetta asked herself. ^One minute, I'm on a plane, looking at clouds and eating lemons, thinking I'm going to be flying over the Amazon, and the next, it crashes and two monkeys feed me and give me a place to sleep, and and another minute I'm bringing an injured rabbit to a monkey's house to be aided. Am I crazy or what?^ These thoughts kept her occupied, and in no time at all she was pulling herself and the rabbit into Cream's branch-den. She crawled along and began to prod the kind monkey with her hand, the other holding the quiet animal. Cream responded to Vendetta's alarmed gesture, saw the rabbit, and immediately sat up with a shocked action. Cream took the rabbit, which again, in English, whispered to Vendetta, "Thank-you, hum-an. I am ca-alled Wi-ind." Vendetta nodded, choosing not to think to closely about what was happening, and was soon again curled up in her nest and finally could sleep, the moon shedding cold, bright light on her sprawled, messy hair and giving all the brightness it could manage for the night.
