Whisperwind left Thornclaw and Stormpaw at the base of Highrock and leaped on top. She paused for a heartbeat, wheezing a little, and then straightened up. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting!" It was time to tell the Clan. It was time to unite against the sickness. And she had given it a name. This sickness was similar to greencough and whitecough, with it's symptoms. Except that it was much worse. So she called it blackcough.

She sits at the back of the crowd, her whole body trembling form exhaustion. Her fur is dull and so are her eyes, and a horrible coughing fit over comes her.

Stormpaw sat back down where she was, and wrapped her tail over her paws, turning to face Whisperwind.

Goldenpaw pads up to the Highrock, and sits, looking around. She hears Hazelstrike go into a fit of coughs, and then eyes Whisperwind and Stormpaw. Neither looked...right. Then she understood, and her heart froze. Oh no...

Goldenpaw watched the sick cats around her, eyes wide, appalled. How can this have happened to us? Will the journeying cats be back soon? Will I be next?

He is sitting there under the Highrock. He realizes that if there weren't so many cats hacking everywhere (lol), this would have been a really cool moment because he was sitting in front of everyone.

Whisperwind cleared her throat painfully, but before she could speak, another bout of coughing cut her off. After a few heartbeats, she was able to form the words. "The sickness is upon us," she rasped. Her voice was low and husky. "Blackcough is unstoppable without the herb that Flamestar and the others have gone to retrieve." She paused again and swallowed with difficulty. "All cats who have blackcough are confined to the medicine cat den. Skypaw will do her best to help ease the pain, but there's only so much she can do. And she won't be staying with you, either. She can't get sick, or we're lost until Sandheart returns." Whisperwind narrowed her eyes painfully and looked down at her Clan. "We must be strong. We must fight this. What do you say, SoulClan?"

Whisperwind snarled at the DeathClan cat. "Get out of here!" she spat. "If you think SoulClan is so weak that we can't defend our borders, then you have another thing coming!" Her hackles were raised and she stood crouched on the top of Highrock, her burning gaze never leaving Lightningwind.

Goldenpaw whirls around on the cat, and growls. She was one of the only healthy cats here. She would defend her clan to her last breath. "Leave!"

" i come in peace." lightningwind hissed. "I heard the prophesy cats came back. We are facing blackcough. Do u have herbs?" she looks at Hazelstrike. " do u want all your cats to end up like this? Who knows what? Some other clan can defeat us when were weakened!!!"

*hisses at the intruder, she may be sick, possibly with blackcough, but she'd defend the clan with her life if she had to**in the back of her head a little voice mewed to her~do you really think you would be able to help fight? you couldnt even catch a vole for StarClan's sake! you useless now it spat the last sentence at her~**she shgrowled at the voice, who cared what it thought?*
