Tangletail got back to her paws, not caring that blood was rolling down her. She remembered the first thing that DeathClan mentors taught their apprentices.
Don't feel any pain. Pain is only a state of mind. You never really have any pain at all. She growled as the pain started disappearing and she leaped onto another fox.

Shatterpaw slid underneath the fox she was fighting, and sliced deep into its stomach. But the jumped back and bit into her side. She screeched with pain, and tried to yank herself free. She finally escaped the fox's jaws, bite marks deep in her side. She hissed, and leapt onto the back of the fox, riding it as it ran around, trying to throw her off.

Tangletail snarled as she clawed another fox, resulting in it running off like the coward it was. Shatterpaw was handling the last fox. She sighed when they were all gone, but then she smiled at Shatterpaw.
"Nice work, Shatterpaw."

Flamestar snarled, chasing off one of the other foxes that was slinking in the shadows, tryind to be unseen.
She snapped at it one last time before racing back to the others, panting. "That's the last of them!"

She nodded curtly to Flamestar.
"Good." Tangltail padded right outside of the den that the others were in and layed down, her head on her paws.

Shatterpaw looked over at Tangletail as she congratulated her, and nodded. It's almost like old times... As the foxes ran off, Shatterpaw grinned. It had been nice to fight again, even if she had gotten hurt a little. She looked at the wound in her side, and laid down. Hopefully Sandheart would get back soon with the herbs. She needed to be at her full strength.

Sandheart left for a moment but came back soon after, a wad of cobwebs on her paw and a few poppyseeds in the other.
"Just take one poppyseed to numb the pain, but it ill make you a bit tired, but you need to sleep a lot so that's okay." She mumbled to herself.

Shatterpaw slunk up beside the medicine cat and licked up a poppyseed. She didn't like the fact she was going to be tired, but it would be better than being weak in a later battle. She chewed up the seed and swallowed, then laid down to rest. She needed her strength.

Tangletail took one of the seeds, her woundes starting to numb. She looked at nothing, her eyes slightly clouded.
