Spottedpaw swung her head around to feel a burst of heat. Flames jumped around them, and one cat was panicking. She thrusted forward to push Sunfire out of the way from falling into the flames. "Whats happening?!" she whispered desperately to him.

A cloud of smoke billows into Sunfire's face and he coughs. "You idiots!" He yowls at the traitors. "You aren't going anywhere. You started this fire, and you'll die in this fire!"

Sunfire leaps after them, soaring over burning grass. The flames singe his fur and the smoke makes his throat raw as he pants desperately for clean air. He pushes his paws as fast as they can go, trying to keep the enemy cats in sight.

She nodded swiftly to him. "Okay, Sunfire." With that, she dashed to Silverleaf's side, tail lashing; claws unsheathed; eyes blazing. "Silverleaf, I'll protect you!" she whispered as she dragged her over to a small bush. She stalked slowly at her side, daring any cat to harm a hair on her. "Start licking your wounds if you can!" she hissed at her.

She gasped and jumped, snapping at the black tom. "Don't hurt her!" she schreeched, landing on him, knocking him down. "She shouldn't die yet! She still deserves to live! What do you have against her! She hasnt hurt you, and you dont know her! If you could see how many times she's been through heart-brake and left alone, you'll see that you have to let her live." she hissed in his ear, slashing at him.
