"Okay." she mewed. "Let's get her some. I'll help her inside. You wanna get the herbs?" she asked, and went over to Silverleaf's side. "C'mon." she said to her, laying her tail on her, telling her to get up.

Quickly and silently, Flamestar padded over to the three warriors. "What happened to Silverleaf?" she gasped out.
"Was she attacked by an enemy Clan?"
Suddenly vicious and angry, she narrowed her deep, dark, emerald green eyes her teeth also bared. "Which Clan was it?" she demanded, "I'll shred them!"

*Says weakly as I walk by* Some mouse-brain put a maggot-filled vole in the fresh kill pile, and I ate it without knowing until it was too late. so i threw up and my stomach hurts like Hell.

Stumped now and somewhat in a daze, clearly confused the dark ginger leader looked at Silverleaf closely. The silver warrior didn't look so well either.
Blinking rapidlly, she stared blankly for a moment then common sense leaped into her, sending orders before she knew it, "Okay, Spottedsun, go with Silverleaf and have either Sandheart or Tangletail take a good look at her, Whisperwind," with a deep breath, she mewed carefully, "Would you mind taking that prey out of the pile and burying it away from the Camp? And please bury it deep. We don't want any other prey or animals around here to get sick from it."
Even though she knew badgers and foxes were bad for the Clan, she couldn't help but also feel some passion for them as well as for her Clan.

*nods, swallowing her revulsion* Of course, Flamestar. *she grasps the vole by the very tip of its tail (do voles have tails? ah welll, they do now XD) and drags it out into the forest. she digs a deep hole and buries it, shuddering with relief when the disgusting thing is gone*

"Yes, Flamestar." she dipped her head, and started walking again with Silverleaf, sympathy bubbling in her heart. They entered the midicine cat den. "Sandheart? Tangeltail? Can you please help Silverleaf? She threw up after eating a maggot-filled vole? Hello?" she called.

Silentwish spoke up from behind, hearing the situation. "Honey will help with a soar throat. Her stomach acids have surely dissolved a bit of the esophagus tissue... it would really help ease the pain."

Ears swerving from the left to the right side of the clearing. Apparently the apprentices were out with their mentors. Then that means Sandheart is most likely out showing her apprentice, Skypaw, around. I really hope Tangletail is in there, or maybe someone else good with herbs.
Suddenly alert again, she pricked her ears. "Now who would dare put crowfood in the fresh-kill pile...? From the tinest kit to the oldest elder knows that you do not dare put crowfood in the pile...maybe it was like a joke, one of the apprentices dared another to do it..."
Sighing again, Flamestar suddenly felt kind of sick. But what if it is a prophecy from StarClan? she asked herself silently, willing and praying to StarClan it wasn't.

The cat from StarClan heard Flamestar's thoughts as he prowled the skies. Now is the time he thought, and focused his mind on the clearing in SoulClan where Flamestar stood. She must know. They must be warned.And the StarClan cat materialized in front of the SoulClan leader. His glossy black fur shimmered with the power and knowledge of the stars. He held his head high and dignified, an awe-inspiring sight. When he spoke, his voice was like thunder and mountains rolling over the land. "StarClan have heard you, Flamestar. We intend to answer your thoughts...sort of." The black tom grinned. Flamestar looked sort of nervous. "Who are you?" she asked. The black StarClan cat shook his head, still smiling. "Who I am is of no consequence. I have a message for you." Flamestar nodded. "Go on." The cat closed his eyes and seemed to grow in size. "In the forest, the wind whispers
of the four who are to come.
She who is air and rain together,
with predator, nature, and sun.
One becomes a star so bright,
lost and never found.
Another struggles with darkness,
a heritage to live down.
Third is the wisest one of all,
quiet, pretty and shy.
Together plus leader two have sworn
for the Chosen One to fly.
She brings light in shadow
and hope in despair
to save the forest, warriors all,
from the jaws of Death's lair." The black cat opened his eyes and looked at Flamestar. "The One is coming..." he whispered, and his body began to fade. "She is coming, Flamestar...watch for her arrival...wait..." |
