Sandheart twitched her tail and jumped down from a tree, a few foxtails away from the pup.

*Shivers* lost both of us, sister. Not found.

[Clemence]

Flamestar pricked her ears, hearing a strange sound in the distance, as if a kit calling for its mother. It was kind of sad and depressing.
It had better not be a threat. She thought, narrowing her eyes and following the sound.
In the clearing, she found Sandheart in front of two pups. "What the...?"

[Streaktooth]

*Remembers the words that have been echoing in her mind for the longest time; the last thing that she'd heard her mother say to her* Streak, whatever do you, if you see cat, run from cat. Cat is bad. Cat can hurt you. Cat can kill you. Wait until bigger are you. Then you take back. *Shakes her head* *Yelps again*

Stormkit walked up to the two pups. "Hi, I'm Stormkit, who are you?" She asked.

Sandheart looked at Flamestar and beckoned her with her tail to come closer. "They seem harmless," she whispered, eying both pups.

*Eyes widen when see cat* Cat evil! *Snarls and tries to be mean* Cat mean, cat run from wolfdog!

Tangletail looked at the pups, not sure what to say.
She turned to Sandheart. "Do you know why they're here?"

[Clemence]

"Harmless?" Flamestar echoed, "Dogs? Ever seemed harmless? Have we all lost our brains?" she growled slightly.
"Who are you?" she called to the two pups.

Stormkit looked at both pups, knowing they were more scared of her than she was of them, probably because she wasn't at all. "I'm not evil; don't worry. I'm Stormkit, who are you?" She asked, trying again.

[Streaktooth]

*Huddles beside her sister and growls. Doesn't sound as fierce as she thought it was* We kill cat!

[Clemence]

Flamestar's whiskers twitched in amusement at the pup's fake bravery. "They're scared."

Cat mean! *Growls*

"No idea," she said shaking her head,. She looked at the two dogs and narrowed her eyes, half sympathetic, half determination to find out all of the questions racing through her mind.

*Pauses* I Hope. Sister Streak. Cat evil, died mother. Said before die, 'cat mean'.

"C'mon, I'm not mean, trust me." Stormkit said, and took a step closer, until she was right between them.

Sandheart growled softly. "Stormkit, wait for a minute." She turned back to the pups. "Don't worry, we won't harm you." she said.

Flamestar shook her head, "Of course not. We're not mean!"
