Stormheart stiffened. "Let's go hunting, Joypaw," she said, as if she brushed off what Joypaw said, yet she kept it deep in thought.

*watches once again from shadows*It-its a little much to be exiled.*Gets idea*I no!Ill go to death and pretend to plot against soul but ill tell them about it and they can finally get rid of their horrible enemy!!

Whitepaw thought this over. Anyone in the DeathClan camp would gladly kill her if they saw her even two foxtails from Stormheart. But she didn't want their old friendship to drift apart any more.

"Okay." Joypaw stood up. She glanced at Whitepaw's thoughtful look. "Let's go near the border. You said there was good hunting there."

"Yeah, there is," she said, looking once at the SoulClan camp before rushing through the forest towards the border.

Whitepaw spun around on her paws and walked past both the cats, not saying a word.

Joypaw ran after her. When they reached the border, she slowed down, panting. She pinpointed a mouse, then ignored it for a moment. "Stormheart, what will you do?" Joypaw paused a moment. "It's okay to tell me. I want to help. I don't want to see you upset, even if it means I have to keep anything secret."

"DeathClan," she answered, stalking the mouse Joypaw had ignored and killed it in one swift bite.

When she was well away from SoulClan, Whitepaw sat down.
Could she trust them? What did Stormheart have in mind to preserve their friendship?

Skyshadow was patrolling the border when he caught scent of two SoulCats. His lip curled in a sneer, but he stayed silent. He was downwind of them, so they wouldn't know he was there. He didn't have to attack right then, he could stay and listen for a while. See what SoulClan was up to.

After an hour of hunting, Stormheart slipped away from Joypaw, crossing the border and walking over to Whitepaw.

"I thought we were meeting at the border?" She said sarcastically. She hadn't noticed Skyshadow yet. "So what's your big idea?"

Skyshadow followed the stupid SoulCat. What was she doing so close to the border? The big tom stopped dead when he saw where she was headed. The warrior was meeting Whitepaw! He bared his teeth, but decided to stay and watch instead of interfere. After all, he might learn something that he could use for leverage; either against SoulClan, or DeathClan

"You already talked to Darkstar about my 'darkside', right? It really isn't that hard to figure out." She said, unaware of Skyshadow watching them.

"Well duh, but why did you say you wanted us to be at the border? What is your idea?"

"I knew you were stupid, but I didn't think you were that stupid!" She teased. "What do you think? Let's see; no one in SoulClan knows I'm here, I just asked you about my 'darkside', and I wanted to preserve our friend-ship. Figure it out!"

Skyshadow's ears pricked with interest. Did this puny SoulClan warrior have a "dark side"? Well...that could be to his advantage. He rearranged his paws and settled in for the wait. This was proving to be quite intriguing. Yes, Stormheart, do tell us what your brilliant plan is.
