Well hello there and welcome to Tolling Through Life!

We are an advanced to intermediate RP site. Tolling Through Life is a dog RP, we have a 150 word minimum(Its not that hard! Honestly!)

There are two packs in Hello Seattle, both packs who were formed from dogs with no family to call their own.

After the wipeout of the humans from strange chemicals, the dogs have here have lived on their own, facing dangers from every side.

Life isn't really what you call 'fair' on Hello Seattle. It can be cruel and unusual, or fun and pleasant.

What will you make of your life, here in Hello Seattle?

OHHELLOTHERE;;

Here's a little info about me.

The names Jen and I've been roleplaying for three years and I'm sixteen years old.

And the history books forgot about us and the bible didn't mention us

Name: Alice

Age: 3 years

Gender: Female

Breed: Belgian Sheepdog

Coat: Long and black, it looks silky and shiny, but to the touch it is courser.

Eye color: A pale forest green

Beneath the stars came fallin' on our heads

Personality: Alice is a snappy female, and does not get on very well with other dogs. Her sarcastic comments and generally sharp tongue have gotten her into much trouble in the short time she has been alive. She sees other dogs a competition, though she has long forgotten what she is competing for. She sees things her way, and will fight her side of an argument with her last breath. In general, she is not very trusting of dogs even if she has known the mfor a long time. Most of the time, however, she is layed back and chooses to through her dry sarcastic humor into conversations just annoy others. Rarely will she actually fight, though she is not afraid of a good "scuffle." She just does not see the point in wasting her time with stupid fights. She is not ambitious, nor does she wish to become a leader of any sort. If she was not so harsh or sarcastic she just might make a good leader, because she never doubts herself. Though she is not always right she is always sure of what she does.

History: Alice has lived her entire life on the street, and though that is not that long it has shaped her into the dog she is today, the untrusting, smart-ass that is Alice. Alice was the only one in the litter to survive, including her mother. Her father raised her for a few months, but he was uninterested in his "weekling" daughter. You see, Alice had acquired a lung infection from the filth she was living in. The old man jumped ship in the middle of winter, leaving the half-dead Alice to her own defenses in a bitter winter when she was just half a year old. A kindly old lady took her in and nursed Alice back to health, but the damage had already been done. Though Alice's body fully recovered from the starvation and infection her mind never fully healed. She ran away from the lady, scared that this woman would leave her as well when she needed her the most. Every now and then she would end up in someone's care, a human or a dog, but it never lasted longer than a few weeks. Alice learned how to defend herself, not only from wounds on the outside, but also from injuries to the heart...the metaphorical one. Alice barely noticed the dissapearance of humans. Why would she? The up-walking no-furs were not something she cared about or depended on.

Family: Mother: Raspberry...deceased.
Father: Dickens...unkown status

Likes:

  • being alone
  • proving her point
  • sarcasm and irony
  • peanut butter
  • the dark

Dislikes:

  • promise breakers
  • large crowds
  • fight-o-holics
  • having to depend on others
  • mornings

Fears:

  • being abandoned
  • being seen as weak
  • falling in love

Strengths:

  • her tongue. It is sharp. Believe me.
  • physically fit, if a bit skinny
  • not caring

Weaknesses:

  • untrusting of others
  • mentally unstable
  • Her left paw gives her trouble when she walks on it for long periods of time

But they're just old light, they're just old light

RP Sample: Alice gripped the ground, her wet nose shoved into the cold cement. The world was spinning, threatening to throw her off and into the great dark sky spalshed with those perfectly broken diamonds. The poor pup shivered, pressing closer to the ground, eyes shut, determined not to fade from the world at that moment. Every part of her ached, except for the parts that were numb with cold. Slowly her eyes closed, but then they jerked open again. NO! I will not meekly bow out now! Alice though forcefully. The words reverberated inside her skull, sending the world into bursts of painful color that swarmed around her vision.

It had started as a cough. Nothing more. Dogs got little things like that all the time. Especially as the cold settled on the city. A cough was neither deadly, nor painful. If only it had just been a cough. It had gotten worse...much worse. Everday it had become harder. She had had to concentrate on the simplest things like walking straight. But her father had been there, and as distant as he was, Alice had known she was safe with him around. Oh the pain of his loss was still fresh on her heart.

Thinking of it sent the world reeling again, and Alice gasped for breath. He was gone. He wasn't coming back. Even when she could barely breathe the sobs came, racking her body like a pitbull shaking a rat. And then it was black. When Alexis came to again it was raining.

But the cold drops couldn't hurt her now. She was beyond feeling such simple, worldly things. I'm not going to die... She thought, her tired mind wanting to escape from all of it, but still fighting to keep her little heart beating. I'm just going to sleep a while... And then she drifted away, carried on the river of life back to the Creator.

But then she awoke once more. Someone was breathing shallowly in her ears. Annoyed Alice turned, and found herself facing...herself. The dull heart beat was fading from the pup's fur, but then Alice remembered. I am not going to die. She begged of the sky, but at the same time her paws let go of the ground. "No!" She croaked and leapt for the body of the dog that was now floating away from the ground, but then something slammed into her, slammed her back into her aching, breaking body.

Other:

I don't think so...
